C.H.E.W. was organized in 2006 to
advocate for the establishment of a 30-40 acre fenced off-leash dog park in the Gig Harbor area.
As taxpayers we feel an off-leash dog park is a legitimate recreational activity that should be available in our community

We have a petition signed by 1400 people representing community support for our efforts.
C.H.E.W. also promotes responsible dog ownership by facilitating and promoting speaker presentations that include canine health and behavioral topics

see "Events").
Our current focus is on a large parcel of land off Bujacich Road NW next to the fire station.
We need your help as we work with PenMet Commissioners to develop a plan that will bring
about what we believe to be an important
